8/3/20 @ Cobblestone HOA - Performed walkthrough inspection of the controller at Fresia/CastleOaks, finding (2) serious issues requiring immediate attention. The first being a broken head next to the backflow supply for the controller on zone 27. The next being a broken Male adapter and 45° coupling right outside valve box #30, disabling the turf zone from running. It was found shut off as a 1.5" lateral leak would cause substantial erosion in the area. (2) Rotor heads were found operating on spray zones with precision nozzles and need to be replaced with spray heads with precision nozzles to unify the distribution rates. The spray head that was leaking near the backflow was replaced with a new Rainbird 1806 Spray Head and excavated to verify no leaks were present from the lateral line. Valve box #30 was excavated to repair the lateral line leak from broken PVC fittings. Parts were obtained from CPS for the repair. Once parts were acquired the repair was completed. As a final step, the zone was turned on, capable of resuming regular operation.

As a Colorado Native, our founder grew up with memories of air hissing out sprinklers heralding seasonal change. The process of sprinkler winterization/blow-out expels water from the sprinkler system via pressurized air. This protects the system components from cracking from cold temperatures through the winter. Our winterization service involves turning off the sprinkler supply, introducing pressurized air into the system to expel water from the system, and insulating the exposed PVB and ball-valve brass component. 

During this time an optional free inspection is done to determine how well the system is working and suggest what improvements can be made.
